Kendra Grameen Private Limited engaged in carrying on business of developing land, planting, growing, cultivating, producing, and raising plantation of various species of fruits, vegetables and flowers of proven utility and maintaining, conserving, protecting preserving, tending, exploiting and managing in all respects and to carry on a business as manufactures, importers, exporters, traders, sellers, packers, distributors in all deals in agriculture. To sell purchase export, import deal and trade in all produce grown or processed by the company and all products manufactured by the company, other farmers and to diversify the business market by entering the online marketing facilities and to make available products through various E commerce site. Currently Kendra Grameen Private Limited is engaged in cultivation of Hydroponics. Hydroponics is a cultivation practice of cultivating plants without soil. Hydroponics is a high-tech method of growing plants in water rich in mineral nutrients instead of soil. Hydroponics is an ideal concept for today’s agriculture sector which struggles to find new fertile lands for crop productions and will enable crops to be grown in green houses or in multilevel buildings. Our hydroponic farm situated at Kalpetta in Wayanad district, and it is one of Kerala’s biggest hydroponics farming and south India’s biggest vertical hydroponic farm. The project starts with cultivation of Capsicum, Celery, Boc choy, Parsley, Lettuce, Broccoli, Zucchini, Cherry Tomato. On 13 .08 .2022, Dr. Boby Chemmannur, Promoter and Brand Ambassador of the society and Guinness record holder, inaugurated the harvest festival of the hydroponics farm owned by Malankara Credit Society, Kalpetta, Wayanad. The farm is able to produce 5,05,500 kgs of vegetables in 3 years from 168,500 kgs annually. Necessary training and financial and technical assistance are provided to produce non-toxic vegetables by hydroponic farming method. An opportunity is also available for interested farmers to cultivate hydroponics in association with Malankara Credit Society. The necessary financial and technical assistance will be available from the society.
